Background

Born and raised in Greece, Christina Chatzitheodorou studied International, European and Area Studies at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens. She has recently completed an MA at King’s College London and will begin a PhD in 2021. Her research areas include irregular warfare, focusing on the Middle East region, the Arab-Israeli conflict, the role of women in warfare, and airpower. She previously conducted research at the Institute of International Relations in the sector of Russia, Eurasia, and Eastern Europe and at the Centre for Mediterranean, Middle East and Islamic Studies. She speaks English, French, Spanish and Italian fluently while she is learning Turkish and Arabic at the moment.
