Background

Hajar holds a Bachelor in Economics and Business from USMBA and a Research Master in Environmental (Applied) Economics from Mohamed V University in Morocco. She is currently pursuing an Advanced Master in European Interdisciplinary Studies at the College of Europe in Poland where she has been awarded a full scholarship from the European Neighbourhood Policy Chair. Hajar is mainly focused on academic research in the field of Public Policy. She volunteered as a Research Assistant and a Senior Research Assistant Manager at the CoronaNet Research Project hosted by the Technical University of Munich, focusing on data collection, data validation and the development of the COVID19 economic policy tracker survey. She also interned as a project analyst in a leading non-profit consulting firm in results-based financing and performance management for government social programs and worked on public health and workforce development projects. Hajar is highly engaged in climate change advocacy. She is a European Climate Pact Ambassador to Morocco for the European Commission and a member of the Youth and Children Constituency to UNFCCC (YOUNGO) for the Adaptation Working Group and Africa Working Group. She took part in the facilitation of the Conference on the Future of Europe for the Environment, Climate Change and Health session held in Warsaw. She is a certified Climate Fresk Facilitator. Hajar was a Climate Governance Expert who contributed to the White Paper of the Green Universities Summit Research Days organised by the Faculty of Governance, Economic and Social Sciences (UM6P) in Morocco and later presented in the COP26. She is currently doing research on behavioural science and social psychology in the European Climate policies and working towards a research career in studying the complexities of climate change with a focus on both psychology and foresight.
