Background
Lauryn Lee holds an LL.M. in International Law from the University of Bristol (UK) and a Bachelor of Laws from HELMo Liège (BE). During her Master’s program, she wrote a thesis on advancing Space Law through the Law of the Sea. She worked at the European Space Policy Institute, focusing on the topic of emerging spacefaring nations, and collaborating on different publications related to space law and policy. She has also worked at the European Southern Observatory, within the External Relations & Science Policy Department, where she researched the impact of satellite constellations on astronomy. In between, she pursued a traineeship at the Council of the EU to study the topic of hybrid threats, in particular disinformation. Generally speaking, she is interested in new technologies, anything related to space, exploring all dimensions of the space domain and how they can interact (psychology, defense, sustainability, law, policy, justice, etc.).
