Sebastián completed his BA in Government and International Relations at the Externado University of Colombia in 2019. Currently, he is pursuing the Erasmus Mundus Master in Global Studies – A European Perspective, in his case at the University of Wroclaw, Poland and soon at the University of Leipzig, Germany. His studies are supported by the EU-sponsored Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. 

Having experience in International Cooperation in security and defence affairs in Latin America, he has focused on foreign policy, geopolitics and security issues in the Americas and Europe.
